506 number scam!
Just to alert those of you tht care to search googe for these numbers. I just received two calls about an hour apart, one fom the number 50622761366 another from 50622020322. It seemed weird to have a number with 8 digits calling, but I answered and it was a familiar offer to lwoer the rates on my credit cards. If you indicate that you would like more information they’ll route you to someone trying to steal account information.
I’ve gotten more than a few calls from various numbers with similar scams over the past couple years. I remember last year I had some Indian guy calling to sell me cell phones at almost the exact same time every day for weeks! It got to the point where I started having fun with him, stringin him along each day, feeding him bogus information for a few minutes before hanging up or just laughing at him. These guys have called a few times over the past couple months. When they first started calling I mentioned that I was on the do-not-call list, at which point the guy started mocking me saying, “ooooh, you’re on a list!”
Anyway, feel free to boast any other numbers these scammers are trying to call you from.
